If you have lost your job due to the coronavirus' impact on our country (INCLUDING because of lost childcare), you can file an unemployment claim online here:
Or, if you do not have access to a computer you can make a claim through
the following steps:
Call the main job service unemployment line # 701-328-4995
You will then get the following prompts:
Ask a Question
You will still have to listen to all the info and hear about changes made due to COVID but in the end, an automated voice will say, “if you still have questions, please stay on the line and a representative will be with you in a moment.” This person will be able to help you file over the phone.
Global Neighbors participants may also call 701-595-0135 if you need language help while filing.
We know that many local families have lost access to English classes because of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Global Neighbors is considering hosting an online English learning program, called Voxy, if there is enough interest. If you or someone you know would be interested, please email us here and let us know!
We also have a WhatsApp group to share resources and information. If you are a local leader of an ethnic, national, or language group, please email Leah at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the group.
Finally, if you know of other resources that may be helpful to the community, let us know and we will add them to this page.
